This is my FIRST OS that I having actually purchased directly. I did have a legal copy of XP, but I did not directly purchase it……it was legal people….I promise! I have really been impressed so far. The out of the box driver support was fairly impressive. The 2 windows boxes I have weren’t missing 1 driver after a fresh OS install…..something I haven’t seen on my systems before (check below for system specs). I did and would recommend a driver update, though. It was just refreshing to see more of an “out-of-the-box” experience. The new task bar and Aero Peek are great to wor with. I am still more fond of Expose on my Macbook Pro, simply because of the multi-touch swipe activation.

One problem I did run into and am currently working through is running LOTRO. My wife, myself, my brother and sister-in-law play and I have yet to get the application running. #directx problems, #nvidia driver problems……to be determined. After a fresh OS install and a fresh LOTRO install, it worked……not sure what the cause was though. FYI Aion, worked out of the box.

On a side note, I am gioing to have to do some work on my BootCamp install to run Windows 7. No official support yet.

The creation of this blog has mostly come from a desire to share my love for cooking and what not, but there are so many more things that I would like to journal/share about. Technology is something that I love more than cooking. I also enjoy talking about TRUTH, for all you Truth Project junkie’s out there. So with that said, here we go. Another shot at blogging. Please feel free to engage with comments if you find something useful on this site, because that will only encourage this endeavour. You can also ask me to stop if this is a completely painful experience for you. Either way, I would love to hear from you. Let the adventure begin.
